Solo Ride through the WILD WEST Coast of North Japan | EP 7: AIN'T NO SUNSHINE

2 weeks ago 14

Hello ji,

Welcome to a new episode of my solo Japan Motorcycle Trip on a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650. I am riding through Japan for a month and have reached the northern-most island of Japan. In this episode I start my day from the most perfect campground in the world with absolutely stunning views of the west coast of Hokkaido island in Japan. It’s a gloomy day, rain is playing hide and seek but I somehow end up really enjoying the ride alongside the rough coast.

On the way. I stop in Setana to see the marvellous rocks & a mermaid only to realize I didn’t turn on the mic for a significant part of the ride. As the day progresses & the weather gets colder, I am very desperate for sunshine when suddenly after few very long tunnels I get a small stretch of absolutely beautiful sunshine. But the happiness doesn't last long as weather gets windier, darker & colder.

I take a break & end up visiting one of the most amazing onsens in Japan and I feel so refreshed that I jump a couple of traffic lights. In the end I give up on my ambitious plan to reach Cape Kamui & take a detour to Niseko, a popular town known for skiing, only to embrace some mini-luxuries in a stunning Capsule hotel in Japan.
Life is enjoy :)
