Walking the Length of Norway ???????? | Norge på langs – Part 3: The Final Stretch to the North Cape

From Sulitjelma all the way to the North Cape – the final stretch of my thru-hike across Norway. After nearly two months alone in the mountains, Lisa joined me in August and together we walked the last 900 kilometers to the very top of Europe. This section was wild, remote, and simply beautiful. We crossed snowfields, rocky plateaus, marshes and rivers, and mostly followed parts of the Nordkalotruta / E1 through northern Norway. Reindeer, stunning landscapes, and complete silence surrounded us for days at a time. It wasn’t the easiest start together. Delayed luggage, injuries, illness. But hiking as a team made every challenge worth it. This adventure was never about proving I could finish on my own. I wanted to share the magic of Norway, and finishing together at Nordkapp was priceless. Norway has surprised me every single day. From stormy ridges and freezing cold in June, to the blazing heatwave in July and it's wild national parks, to the open plains of the North in August. Remote wilderness, wild weather, long days, unforgettable views, and the kindness of the people we met along the way. For anyone dreaming of a truly wild and quiet thru-hike: this trail is a hidden gem. Respect it, and the trail will provide. Finishing at Nordkapp feels like a fitting end to an unforgettable summer in Norway. A huge thank you to everyone who followed along and supported this adventure in any way.
