STORY BEHIND THE SONG: Hey everyone! I know it's been a while since I last posted a video to my YouTube channel, but I'm back now! The last few months have been very challenging for me, but also very transformative. All told, I return to YouTube feeling refreshed and stronger than ever in my walk with the LORD. Since its release in November 2023, the song "Lovin On Me" by Jack Harlow has seemingly maintained a perennial top-15 spot on the mainstream music charts (it currently sits at #11 on the Apple Music charts [all genres] & #4 on Spotify's weekly Top Songs Global playlist [again, all genres]). The song also spent 4 weeks on top of Billboard's Hot 100 chart and is a viral staple on TikTok. As someone who pays close attention to what's trending out there in the music world, I've taken notice. A few weeks ago, the Holy Spirit gave me a crazy idea - why not take such a catchy, popular hit song as this one and bring it under the lordship of Christ with new, faith-focused lyrics to replace the worldly, degenerate lyrics of the original? I spent the next couple of weeks working on doing just that, and now that it's finally finished, I have decided to share the fruit of my endeavors with the world, as a means of shining the light of Jesus and drawing others closer to Him. This is a parody designed to make you both laugh and think. It's theologically sound, deeply personal to my own faith journey, and just plain fun. I hope that you all enjoy it while you wait for my next original studio recording, "WHO KNOWS", to drop later this spring!
