The North Cape Line: Brønnøysund to Tromsø

After an overnight sailing, we arrived at the port of Brønnøysund, which claims to be at midpoint between the South and North Capes of Norway. Before arriving at the port, we made a slight detour to visit "Torgatten", an island with a hole around two thirds of the way up. The next day, we were in the Lofoten Islands with a call at Svolvær. After a walk to find some fish racks (where cod are left to dry for weeks before being exported, a visit to Magic Ice, with its ice sculptures and a drink served in a glass made of ice (very cool!), it was time to head for the Trollfjord and then Stokmarknes, the birthplace of the Hurtigruten. A visit to the Hurtigrutemuseet and the 1953 built ship "Finmarken" is a must. Finally, in this video, a call at "The Paris of the North", aka Tromsø.
