North Cape Museum
The North Cape Museum (Nordkappmusett) houses a wide collection of art, artifacts, and visiting displays of contemporary artist. Take a longer, lingering look at some of the many fine displays. Can you tell what my favorite is? The Museum honors the peoples of the Finnmark region of northernmost Norway, the indigenous Sami people, the fishing culture, surviving Nazi Germany's occupation, and rebuilding. It is right there at the cruise line dock--just a few steps from the ship--although the town is also worth exploring.
