Driving to Nordkapp, from Lakselv to Valan, 169 km of northern landscapes
Traveling towards Nordkapp from Lakselv and all the way to Valan, we were unfortunately stopped by the Norwegian police following numerous calls from locals who had noticed the video camera mounted on our car. We were politely asked to stop filming because we were near the Russian border, and the situation with the war in Ukraine requires caution. The police reviewed the footage to see if I had indeed only filmed the road, and I was very lucky that I had started recording only in Lakselv, because not long before that, we had passed near a Norwegian military base, and if that had appeared in the footage, we would have definitely gotten into serious trouble.
