Inside the Magical Snow Hotel in Norway!

While sailing up the Norwegian coast on the Hurtigruten Coastal Express, we stopped in the tiny Arctic town of Kirkenes (at the very edge of Norway) and visited the Snowhotel — yes, a hotel made entirely of snow and ice ???? The whole place is packed with crazy sculptures, icy rooms, and a bar carved straight out of the snow. My parents were absolutely obsessed with this one, especially the giant reindeer head — I don’t think I’ve ever seen them so happy to freeze ???? You can even stay overnight if you’re brave enough… but we just popped in for a visit, a husky cuddle and some hot tea before heading back to the ship. It’s one of the many, many, many shore excursions you can book while sailing with Hurtigruten — honestly, every stop has something completely different, from king crab safaris to husky sledding to feeding sea eagles and giant seagulls on the side of a boat!!!!
