Synopsis:
- The advent of commercial air travel drastically changed the landscape of long-distance travel, posing a significant challenge to the shipping industry.
- Shipping lines faced dwindling passenger numbers as air travel became the dominant mode of transportation, offering faster and more convenient options.
- The industry was forced to adapt, innovate, and find new ways to attract passengers and differentiate themselves in the competitive travel market.
- This led to the modern cruise industry being born!
