I've now visited Iceland twice, and this trip I decided to lean all the way in and do the things everyone does. Silver Circle, geothermal hot springs, Icelandic horse riding, a glacier walk, an ice cave, Snaefellsnes peninsula, Sky Lagoon, and a puffin boat tour.

But here's the thing — when you grew up on a subtropical island, moved to a rainy island in the north, and are now standing on a volcanic island in the Arctic, the "tourist experiences" hit differently.
