Dear Students,
It is with deep regret that I have to inform you that Pilot Flight Academy has decided to file for bankruptcy yesterday.
Over the past several months, PFA has worked intensively to stabilize the financial situation and explored every possible option to secure the long-term sustainability of the school.
Throughout this period, our guiding principle has been to protect our students interests and, above all, to minimize disruption to your training and preserve continuity in your learning journey.
The Board has at all times recognized that a bankruptcy outcome would negatively affect all stakeholders involved.
For this reason, the process has been prolonged, with ongoing negotiations, extensive discussions, and the continuous exploration of alternative solutions.
Throughout this time, multiple scenarios have been thoroughly evaluated to assess viable paths forward, and the Board
has worked closely with legal advisors to ensure that all decisions were carefully considered and responsibly managed.
Despite these efforts, the current operating model has come under significant pressure. Following careful consideration, the Board of Directors has made the difficult decision to file for bankruptcy.
This decision has not been taken lightly and follows a challenging period marked by reduced student intake and a cost structure that could no longer be sustained.
We are sorry to share this news and fully understand the uncertainty it may create.
This also means that employees will not work unless instructed by the Bankruptcy Administrator.
A letter with some options to continue your training will be sent today, together with your Training records.
You will also find information about a support service we have organized for our students through AAP Aviation.
For those of you who are living at Campus, you will be informed by the Bankruptcy Administrator and the landlord when to leave the premises.
The formal aspects of the process will be managed by the appointed Bankruptcy Administrator.
In the coming months you may experience challenges and moments of complexity.
We encourage you to continue your dream with confidence and determination. A delay does not mean your future plans are over, as many people reach their goals through unexpected paths.
We are sorry for the impact this has on you and your studies. While the chapter with PFA has ended sooner than expected, your story has not.
Thank you for your patience and trust during this difficult time.
We wish you all the best.
Kind regards,
Henriette Nielsen
