Looking at data between January and July 2024, the US had an estimated 113 million long-haul passengers, equivalent to nearly 155,000 passengers daily each way. This finding is based on examining booking data available via OAG Traffic Analyzer. The US-UK was the largest market, followed by Italy, Japan, India, and Germany.

Regardless of where they went, six in 10 people had to transfer to another flight along the way. Of the United States’ top 50 country markets, everyone connected to get to Thailand, Hungary, Indonesia, and Pakistan. These had 500,000 to 1.1 million passengers.
