On June 6th, an Air India Boeing 777, operating flight AI173 from Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi to San Francisco International Airport, was forced to divert to the city of Magadan in Russia. Air India is one of several airlines that continue to use Russian airspace - although European and North American airlines are banned from doing the same.
