"SO Close!" - Wesley So vs Vishy Anand | Norway Chess 2022

Vishy Anand played Wesley So in the 4th round of the Norway Chess 2022. He showed some brilliant bit of chess in both the Classical games as well as Armageddon to put Wesley So on the backfoot. However, Wesley turned out to be a very shrewd opponent. In the first game he wriggled out of the mess very quickly and repeated the position. And in the Armageddon, he set a trap that was so vicious that Anand fell right into it. A very intense battle between two great chess players.

Anand and Carlsen now lead the table with 8.5/15. 4th of June is a rest day. Things will resume on 5th of June when the two 5-time World Champions will take on each other!
