The Pentagon has released a new video of a Russian Su-27 fighter jet veering directly into the path of an American B-52 bomber in what U.S. officials decried as an 'unsafe and unprofessional' intercept.

Russian air defense systems detected the U.S. bomber at around 10:00 Moscow time as it flew over neutral waters parallel to the Russian border and sent a Sukhoi Su-27 jet to intercept it, the Russian Defence Ministry said in a statement.
