The Laerdal Tunnel in Norway is an engineering marvel. The construction of the 24.51 km Laerdal Tunnel started in 1995 and has been operational since 2000. This highway is a link between the two largest cities in Norway & connects Aurland and Laerdal through difficult mountain terrain on the main highway stretching between Oslo and Bergen. It's on the list of every traveller! Laerdal Tunnel is the world's longest road tunnel. The marvellous aspect of the Laerdal Tunnel is that it is separated by 3 large mountain caves at 6km intervals.
