President Biden and First Lady Jill Biden attended the traditional National Christmas Tree lighting on Thursday.
President Biden made remarks once the tree was lit. Vice President Kamala Harris and her husband, Doug Emhoff, were also attendees of Thursday's ceremony.
The tree lighting ceremony is an annual White House holiday tradition, with a countdown and musical performances by Dionne Warwick and St. Vincent, among others. Country singer Mickey Guyton was the ceremony's host.
This year's tree is a 40-foot Norway spruce from West Virginia’s Monongahela National Forest.
