The Norwegian krone (NOK) is the official currency of Norway. The banknotes in circulation for the Norwegian krone include denominations of 50, 100, 200, 500, and 1000 kroner.

Each banknote has a unique design and color scheme. The 50-kroner note is predominantly blue and features the portrait of Peter Christen Asbjørnsen, a Norwegian writer and collector of folk tales. The 100-kroner note is predominantly brown and features the portrait of Kirsten Flagstad, a Norwegian opera singer. The 200-kroner note is predominantly green and features the portrait of Kristian Birkeland, a Norwegian physicist.
