Norwegian author and dramatist Jon Fosse has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature for his "innovative plays and prose which gave voice to the unsayable". His writing is defined more by form than content, where what is not said is often more revealing than what is. The 64-year-old's magnum opus titled "Septology" is a roughly 12,000-page monologue in which an elderly artist speaks to himself as another person.
