The epic struggle of Ukrainian troops continues to grow stronger with the support of their friends.

Many operations have been successfully completed thanks to the equipment provided to Ukrainian troops by friendly countries.

The Russian army loses a little more morale with each aid package delivered to Ukraine.

Today, a development that will please Ukraine but greatly upset the Russian army was recorded.

Norway will help deliver a valuable US-made Patriot air defense system to Ukraine ahead of possible Russian attacks on Ukraine's vital infrastructure in the winter months.

The Norwegian government will spend 1.4 billion kroner ($128 million) to strengthen Ukraine's air defenses.

"Norway, together with other countries, is providing the funds that will allow Romania to send Patriot air defense systems to Ukraine," the country's Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre said.

“Strengthening Kiev’s air defenses is a priority for Norway, and I am very pleased that we were able to help Ukraine acquire a new Patriot air defense system,” Støre said.

Russia has been continuously striking Ukraine with drones and missiles, and has also been launching highly destructive guided glide bomb attacks using its jets from points beyond the reach of Kiev’s air defenses.

Kiev is demanding Western-made air defense systems from its allies, including the Patriot system, which is considered the gold standard of air defense.

The air defense launchers also fire missile interceptors to eliminate an incoming threat.

Production of air defense missiles, which are in high demand worldwide, may take time, although many defense companies have recently increased their production lines.

Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in April this year that Kiev could run out of missiles and that the partners knew it.

A few days later, the Ukrainian president said that Kiev had failed to stop a Russian attack on a major power plant near the capital because Ukraine had “run out of missiles.”

Russia is expected to resume its attacks on Ukrainian cities and critical infrastructure in the war-torn country in the coming winter.

Støre continued:

Russia’s attacks are continuing unabated, and Ukraine needs more air defenses to protect civilians.

More air defenses have been one of Ukraine’s most critical needs since the beginning of the war.

US President Joe Biden announced at a NATO summit in July that the US and its partners planned to deliver dozens of tactical air defence systems to Ukraine in the coming months.

These included the Patriots, as well as German-made self-propelled Gepard anti-aircraft guns, NASAMS medium-range air defence systems and variants of the IRIS-T systems.

Ukraine is thought to have around five Patriot systems, but details are vague and it is not yet clear how many promised Patriot systems have reached the war-torn country.

Countries such as the US and Germany have sent entire batteries, and others have pledged parts of the complex system.

A spokesman for the Romanian Defence Ministry told the US-backed Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty broadcaster in early October that Bucharest had delivered one Patriot system to Ukraine.

Kiev's air force said parts of one of its Patriot systems were damaged in a Russian missile strike in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, which borders eastern Donetsk, where much of the fiercest fighting took place earlier this month.
