Nicaragua has severed diplomatic ties with Netherlands just hours after the Nicaraguan Vice President, Daniel Ortega's wife, barred the new US envoy from entering the country. The US has condemned the Ortega govt for “systematically undermining Nicaragua’s democratic structures”. There have been widespread protests recently in several countries against alleged US interference in domestic policies. Will other countries follow Nicaragua’s lead against ‘imperialist US’?
