IT HAPPENED! Giga Berlin in big trouble in engine production, Warning Tesla!
Giga Berlin is in big trouble in engine production, Warning Tesla!
Giga Berlin is considered the most meticulous and quality production facility of all Tesla factories. Recently, however, Giga Berlin has been experiencing a series of production problems that have delayed deliveries indefinitely.
So what problems are the cars produced at Giga Berlin facing? How does it affect Tesla's reputation?
In today's video, we'll talk deeper about the troubles that Giga Berlin had to face. And Elon Musk's solutions to those troubles.

After problems with the rear motor of the Model 3 delivered from the Gigafactory in Shanghai, now the Model Y may be suffering the same issues. Those waiting on their Model Ys assembled at Giga Berlin are precisely reporting order delays or cancellations on the account.
It is reported that their deliveries were being delayed indefinitely and that the defect could not be fixed via a software update.
Unfortunately, the issue seemed more severe when the unlucky Model Y buyers in German had to wait weeks on end due to a lack of spare parts. Some of the already shipped cars have also been affected by the faulty drive motor, as one buyer from Norway reports his Model Y - only three weeks old - is now impossible to drive. Tesla says that it expects the replacement parts though it's unclear how many Model Y units have been affected and how long it will take to swap the motors on them.
The issue is a mechanical one with the rear wheel motor, and their assembled Model Y will still have to wait for the retooled part to come from China as Giga Berlin is not yet making those parts locally.
The motor issue will now negatively affect Tesla's productivity. Such quality control mishaps are why Tesla's CEO complained that the Gigafactories in Texas and Berlin are giant money pits right now, bleeding billions from Tesla because of supply chain issues.
The two new factories are not only the most important targets of Tesla for the current phase but also spending the most money, and the failure in attaining the target capacity is definitely going to induce negative impacts on Tesla's financial performance, where the controversy surrounding labor rights has yielded a heavy blow to the company at the same time. As a result, Tesla's stock price has fallen for two consecutive days and closed at US$685.47, this time under a slight reduction of 1.79%.
