Pep Guardiola says that he understands the pressure on him and on Manchester City to win the UEFA Champions League, admitting that he will "absolutely be judged for that competition".

City have swept all before them domestically in recent years, but the club has never won Europe's biggest trophy, despite a few near misses.

Guardiola's men will host RB Leipzig at the Etihad on Tuesday evening in the second leg of their last-16 tie.

The aggregate score is 1-1 after a draw in Germany in the first leg.

With the race for the Premier League title set to intensify in the final months of the season, Guardiola says his players are pleased to be "alive" and still challenging for three trophies.

Kevin De Bruyne says that City cannot complain about Erling Haaland's output this season, although he admitted that the Norwegian may have been more prolific earlier in the campaign.

Haaland has taken the Premier League by storm this season, scoring 28 goals in 26 games. But his rate has slowed, scoring just three in his last nine appearances.
