Pep Guardiola claimed his side’s 3-0 win over Bayern Munich in the Champions League left him “emotionally destroyed.”

City controlled much of the first-leg of their quarter-final at the Etihad Stadium, but a hoarse Guardiola told the press he did not feel comfortable throughout the game

Rodri opened the scoring in the 28th minute with a sumptuous, curled effort from just outside of the Bayern penalty area.

City doubled their lead in the 70th minute when 45-goal striker Erling Haaland turned provider. The Norwegian dinked the ball to Bernardo Silva who nodded home for 2-0.

The inevitable transpired when Haaland found the back of the net in the 77th minute. John Stones headed the ball across the goal and the Norwegian fired home to make it 3-0 to the Premier League side.

The second offering of the two-legged tie will be played at the Allianz Arena, Munich, on 19th April.
