On August 14, an explosion in Russia's Makhachkala killed 25 people and injured over 60. Russia launched 22 attacks on Sumy Oblast, causing 156 explosions. Ukraine reportedly destroyed 34 units of Russian military equipment and killed around 100 Russian soldiers. Ukrainian President Zelensky visited frontline troops in Donetsk, acknowledging their courage and discussing their needs. Additionally, he thanked the US for its $200 million military aid package. Germany also announced its plan to provide Ukraine with $5.5 billion annually in military aid until 2027. Moscow officials said Ukraine's counteroffensive against Russia was slowing down. Norway's Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace will supply Ukraine with Cortex Typhon C-UAS anti-drone systems, financed by the UK-led International Fund for Ukraine.
