This tender agreements mandates that over 1 million flights within its four-year span must use 15 percent biofuel or other fuel that meets the requirements of ReFuel EU.
In October 2024, the first delivery to Ålesund was completed. A total of 1 million liters of biofuel, derived from used cooking oil in the UK and refined in Gothenburg, Sweden, will power the first 250,000 Armed Forces service flights.
