The faithful in one Scandinavian country have a new outlet for Catholic content. EWTN Norway began TV programming last week on the feast of the Assumption. That's also the anniversary of the launch of EWTN in 1981. Norway already had Saint Rita Radio, which began in 2020. The Northern European country has a population of more than 5 million people. The vast majority are Lutheran. Around 3% identify as Catholic. Cofounder of EWTN Norway, Pal Johannes, joins to tell us more about EWTN Norway and how the idea to launch it came about. Johannes shares what the main focus is and what languages EWTN Norway broadcasts in. He explains whether he hopes or expects to reach people of other faiths with their programming. Johannes fills us in on how the Catholic Church is doing in Norway and what the attitudes there are towards Christians in general.
