Slovenia’s government endorsed a motion on Thursday to recognise the Palestinian state and has asked its parliament to do the same, aiming to officially recognise the State of Palestine in June. The move is set to further the foreign policy divide between European countries as the war on Gaza rages on.
Slovenia is following Ireland, Spain and Norway, who made the same decision earlier this month. But other European countries such as Germany have remained adamant in their support of Israel.
