Denmark will join the EU's common defense policy after Danes voted on Wednesday in favor of joining.
According to an exit poll by Danish outlet TV2 on Wednesday,... 66-point-6 percent were in favor of ending the country’s 30-year-old opt-out.
The referendum is the latest example of a European country seeking closer defense links with allies in the wake of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
Abandoning the opt-out will mean that Danish officials can participate in EU defense topic discussions,... and Danish forces can take part in EU military operations.
