On fourth of January 2023, as a new year tradition, again Queen magareete together with Crown prince fredrik and Crown Princess mary hosted the final new year reception. They hosted the party for the officers of the norwegian armed forces,civil defense and the national emergency management agency rank 1,2 & 3. In addition to them,other invited guests to the party were representatives from major national organisations, the royal patronages and prominent guests. The reception took place at Christiansborg Palace.

Her majesty queen magreete started off by driving from her winter residence in Amalienborg palace to Christianborg Castle. She drove on a golden horse drawn carriage while crown prince Fredrik and crown princess mary drove by car. The procession started at 9:10 a.m and by 1:30p.m it was at its reception in Christianborg palace.

The monarch beamed with excitement as she waved and smiled to the public along the way. she drove off the golden carriage escorted by the royal houseguard regiment horse escort. She was in a jovial mood as she got off from the golden carriage at Christiansborg palace. The golden carriage was pulled by 6 white horses & accompanied by 60 horses & royal houseguard regiment.
The golden vessel was built in 1840 for Christian 8 of denmark by designer Henry Fife. It is coated with 12 karats of gold with 4 gilded crowns on the roof and coat of arms at the doors.

The 82 year old queen dress in a long light brown fur coat and a burgudy court dress with similar colour to crown Princess Mary's go. She was in high spirits as she entered into Christianborg Palace. As usual, she checked the parade inside the hallway as she walked past.

Crown prince Fredrik and Crown Princess mary walked side by side as they entered into the palace sharing smiles to the onlooking guests. The Australian-born Princess dressed in a plum red gown with a matching cape designed by lasse spangenberg. she wore the same gown during the 2018 new year banquet. She accessorized with midnight blue tahitian pearl bracelet complete with suede pumps and a purple clutch bag.
Prince Fredrik was in his gala regalia, &as a regent, he also checked the parade as they walked in before joining the guests.

The defence and emergency management agency team together with all visitors present had a great time with her majesty. They were treated to the New year as they share their ideas and interacted.

The event being the third in the New year, the other working royals were not in attendance as the Danish royals are almost done with the traditional new year galas. Earlier in the new year, they hosted the new year banquets which was majorly attended by near all royals followed by the New year reception for the judges, government representatives and diplomatic corps.They wished all the members a happy New year with prosperity as they start off the year.

At 1:30 pm,Queen Magareete with the same procession travelled back to Amelienborg castle in the same golden carriage. she happily waved at onlookers along the way.
