The Secretary General of the Norwegian Refugee Council, Jan Egeland met with Taliban leaders on Monday and said that they cannot and will not work in Afghanistan without female staff. He said that they planned to assist 700,000 Afghans in 2023, but can only resume work when the ban on female colleagues is lifted.
