A bright #meteor lit up the sky over #Norway. The incident happened last Saturday, November 19, in the evening. The bolide could be seen in the south of the country, according to the NRK television and radio company.

When the meteor burned up in the atmosphere, a multi-colored flash flickered in the sky, which greatly frightened the locals. Some even called the police.

An eyewitness to the incident, Per Scrum, said that at first he confused the meteor with a car driving with high beams on. “But then I looked up at the sky and saw a massive light that swept across the sky with a long blue tail behind it,” the man said.

Employees of the Norwegian Meteorological Institute explained that the meteor belongs to the annual meteor shower, which is called the Northern Taurids. “It was very powerful and burned up completely in the atmosphere,” Norwegian Meteor Network founder told reporters.
