Various sources have mention the peculiarity and the fact that GM V.Plat from the Czech Republic had basically been on the correct side of an opening trap in round 1 before playing IM Kristian Stuvik Holm in the last round and then "falling" for the same opening trap with colors reversed. Stuvik Holm needed a win to get his final GM norm.

We look at those games and some past instances raising suspicions about Kristian Stuvik Holm.

VG reports on another possible scandal, where IM Kristian Stuvik Holm secured his final GM norm by beating GM Plat in the same way that the Czech GM won his game in R1 in Benasque.
