A white Beluga Whale that once made headlines for wearing a strange harness, is spotted again. The whale was first seen off the coast of Norway in 2019 with a harness that had “Equipment St. Petersburg” printed on it with a camera mount attached, leading the public to speculate the animal was part of a Russian spy training program. Last week, a whale protection organization said the same Beluga was spotted off Sweden’s Southwestern coast. The program's director said their experts believe the whale is following a possible migration path, but they're worried for the whale's safety since the Swedish waters have more boat traffic. It was never confirmed whether or not the whale was trained by the Russian Navy.
